SUBSTATIONS ArcSine Engineering has experience in the design of substations. Our work includes electrical design, short-circuit calculations, design of ground grids, protective device coordination, and services during construction including startup assistance. Following is a partial list of ArcSine projects.
Designed a 10-MVA, 60,000- to 13,800-volt substation as part of a facility expansion. Designed 13.8-kV underground distribution, and performed short-circuit calculations and protective device coordination. Assisted with startup.
Designed four substations, 1.5 MVA total, connecting 12.47-kV overhead distribution line, and utility metering facilities. Performed short-circuit calculations and protective device coordination.
Designed 2,400-volt power distribution system for approximately 4,000 horsepower of water pumping, including the owner's motor controller, switchgear, and grounding transformer. Coordinated with new 5,000-kVA utility substation.
Designed 20-MVA, 60,000- to 12,000-volt substation.
John Salas, Principal Engineer, performed relay coordination study and designed 50-MVA, 115,000- to 13,800-volt substation addition.
Designed 21-kV, 480-volt unit substation to feed cooling water facility from privately-owned power plant.
